I spent a few hours (probably around 5 total researching/writing/checking background information) on my first blog post last night. It has not been approved yet, but I think that will happen shortly. I know that I am already better at researching because of this first assignment. I wasted a lot of time searching the wrong locations for information.
I need to find more things out about planned parenthood's blog before I complete assignment 3. The blog had already been established when I began this project and I have not yet been given the ability to post blogs and I'm not sure what software they use.

Responding to your question - I basicaly have had full control of the blog and then emailed her to check it out before it was linked to the Leagues website. It might be different because of the sensitivty level between the two organizations. Planned Parenthood will have more opposition to the blog then the League will encounter so Planned Parenthood are very careful in using specific talking points when sending out a message. I think as time goes on though, Amy will give you more control. She seems really exicited about blogging and what it can do for an organization. Good Luck!
